Bienvenue / Welcome

Within this blog we intend to share details about the great happenings around Ecole St. Luke and upcoming events. I hope that it will help enhance your experience as a member of the school community. We will  see how it evolves. Meanwhile, let us know what you think. We are always seeking to improve.

Classroom allocation
We are pleased to announce that we have received an additional teacher allocation so we can create two Grade 3 classes and two Grade 4 classes. As a result, we have set up another classroom in the Art room. We would like to welcome Mme Allyson (Mme Allyson MacLean) to our community.  She will be teaching one of the grade 4 classes.  Mme Allyson has taught for several years with CBE and is a product of our French Immersion system.  She continued her university studies in France and obtained her teaching degree through the University of Lethbridge.  I know she will be a great asset to our community.
Parent conversationsOn behalf of our entire staff, I thank you for this amazing Parent Conversations. Our school strives to instil in each child the excitement that comes with learning, where the bar is set high. Our staff are highly qualified and committed to serving all aspects of each student, academically, emotionally and physically. Many great things happen at our school through family and community collaboration. If you would like to be involved at St. Luke, please consider volunteering or attending our School Council.
Pass it onThank you to all the families who have generously donated to Pass it on.  Our grade 5 and 6 students rolled up their sleeves and sorted all of your donations.  Our students walked humbly with God while helping struggling families in our community.
Farm to schoolSchool Council is wrapping up their first fundraiser as our deadline is fast approaching, September 25th.  Please be aware that you do not have to order produce for your family, you can donate an order to the food bank.  Order forms are available on our website: http://schools.cssd.ab.ca/stluke/files/2015/09/Updated-order-form-Farm-to-school.pdf

As always, should parents have questions, they are encouraged to connect with me at their earliest convenience
Take care,
